So, this week was kind of weird. I mean, there wasn't really any one thing that was of great significance, but there were a lot of little things that made this week quite eerie. I also watched quite a few movies this week, and it was odd because I am usually quite aware of how many movies I watch. But when I thought about it I realized I had watched like four movies in five days, booyah! However, I don't really feel like going over them, I'll be doing enough of that next week. I also got my Magma albums and can honestly say that they are prime examples of Moulton Rock!!!
Last night I watched a lot of Degrassi with Corey, and also the best episode of KOTH ever?!?!! But then I asked someone, "What's yo damage?" and blacked-out for the rest of the night.
Today I went to two different malls, for "various reasons." The first mall was very upsetting because they didn't have much except for the most awesome shirt ever in Forever 21. However, it was really a girl's shirt, it wasn't even close to being uni, so there was no way I could pull it off. I've been looking online to see if i can find a guy's version but have not had any luck so far...
The second mall was full of hookers, singer/songwriters, and Lost fans all in line at See's Candy, so I can't really complain.
Oh yea it is also Halloween and the malls were full of little kids getting treats...

Do you want to like blaze?
So I think these animals are trying to kill me. Yesterday two peacocks ran out in front of my car and forced me to slam on my brakes and blurt out a profanity in front of my grandma. Today a squirrel ran out into the middle of the street and just stopped, so I had to quickly swerve around it. But at least nothing was hurt, so it's all good.
Last night I had another "Landslide" attack, and it has been freaking me out all day, but at least I proved this one was real too. Then this afternoon I went to buy some new shampoo, yay!
Then later tonight I went to Corey's and we watched a variety of shows, and I realized that Sit Down, Shut Up is probably the best show ever, because I have yet to find a flaw in its decadent mastery of bad comedy. We also watched Degrassi for a while, and I also realized that there is not nearly enough punching on Teen Nick...

for him alone life's worse than worst
is better than a mere world's best
whose any twilight is his last
and every sunrise is his first
- e.e. cummings
So today in between classes I decided to kill some time in the library. While looking around the shelves I came across a book of e.e. cummings' poetry. The poem above was one of the ones that I really liked, albeit short, and one of the few I could actually find online. It is really simple, but I think I prefer his more "traditional" poems. I hesitate to say traditional because even his more straight-forward work seems to possess adventurous structures and rhyming patterns, but I guess that's the other half of the fun.
So this week I might welcome Sloche, Magma, and Peter Blegvad into my life. (gasp) What will the neighbors think? Oh well, if it gets too bad I can always even it out with some Tony Williams...

Oh yea, don't think I forgot my promise.

I need a catchphrase...
So, driving home tonight through the fog was pretty cool, it was just like in my dreams, only "Perpetual Change" was playing . Last week wasn't bad either, except for my physics class that was cancelled all week and my teacher gave really late notice so I ended up going to school twice for nothing. So tonight Corey and I watched some show/short movie called Suburban Legends or something, and it was one of the funniest/stupidest things ever. I also hate the Internet, because it is taking all my money with its limitless shopping possibilities and strawberries so big you can eat them like a hand fruit. Yea, so I have to write a critical essay for my film class. I think I'll write it about some aspect of Stanley Kubrick, I saw Barry Lyndon last night and it was quite spectacular, so it reminded me that he is my favorite director, sorry Andrei. Yea I know that this post is a little erratic, but that just means my next post will have to be a little erotic...

"Do you sing when you play the guitar?"
I'm not sure what you're supposed to say when your Grandma asks you that, but I'm pretty sure I didn't give the right answer. I pretty much was frozen trying to comprehend what was being asked of me, but eventually my sister responded for me. I don't remember what she said, but the mutual conclusion was "Yes, but not very well..." I guess Nick Drake just brings out the best in everyone.
So today has been a pretty lucky day so far. First off, the mailperson brought me two gifts today, the Breathless CD I ordered, and my next DVD. Well that might not seem like a big deal, but I wasn't expecting my CD until next weekend, because it was shipped from England and was supposed to take 8-10 days, and it took 5. It was also my first online purchase in a foreign currency, Bravo! (snaps fingers)
The DVD was also a surprise because it was suppose to come two days ago, and I was worried that I would finally have to report a problem with Netflix, I'm not sure how difficult it is, but I'd rather not find out.
After I went to get an oil change, I don't have a good history with these, but it went pretty smoothly and my car was only diagnosed with a small oil leak, no big deal. Also, while my car was under the knife, my sister and I went to Kmart to kill time, and they were having a special demonstration and we both got little Magicloths (another brand of Shamwows) and the demo was like a Shamwow commercial...lol
So I guess that means that my O Lucky Man! review was pretty good!!!
