So, last Friday I finally saw Reservoir Dogs, in a theatre!!! I guess A Zed and Two Noughts is next, wish me luck. So tomorrow I have to give a speech on the Eagle Nebula, should be great fun. But at least after that my semester is almost over. I'm not sure what I'm going to do over winter break, but I'll probably try to go somewhere, even if it's just overnight. Also, I will probably try to meet a girl named Caroline...

Tomorrow's Thanksgiving, and I don't know why...

So, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, yay? I guess that means I'll probably make pizza or something, which isn't so bad, I mean, I have done less in a day.

So, this "weekend" has turned out pretty well. It all started on Wednesday, as these things often do, with a failed drum performance. However, my luck quickly changed when all my other classes were cancelled, leaving me ample time to prepare for the new SVU episode. Thursday saw me spinning CDs and watching largely unsuccessful King of the Hill videos on youtube with Corey. The highlight, however, came on Friday, when I went to New Beverly Cinema to see White and Red. The theatre was really cool, and was much bigger than I thought it would be, and only 7$ for a double-feature!!! I definitely see myself returning in the future. On Saturday night I had to, prematurely, say goodbye to what now feels like an old friend. Maybe we'll meet again someday Sit Down, Shut Up. Sunday was filled with Target and nostalgia, just like it should be. I guess this week will present Thanksgiving and possibly a trip to Amoeba, but as for now, New Age of Earth is pretty far out...

For making everything beautifuller

So, today I got back my critical essay on the work of Alejandro Jodorowsky and I got a B, which is pretty good considering I didn't start until a couple hours before it was due. I probably would have got an even better grade if I didn't make formatting errors, it probably didn't help that I didn't proofread it either, lol!?!?!?!?!? Then I watched Shawn of the Dead in class and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't bad at all, although I don't plan on praising it as highly as my teacher any time soon. I also kind of want to do something tomorrow night. It's not that I'm dead-set on seeing the meteor shower, it is more about wanting an excuse to skip class on Wednesday, but we'll see. And this live version of " Lover, You Should've Come Over" is outta sight...

Three yards...

So, this week didn't start out very well. I think I totally messed up on my Jodorowsky essay, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Then James Taylor made it all better, like he always does, and the end was pretty cool. I even went to a lecture at JPL!!!!!!!
I also found out that White and Red are playing in LA next weekend. I'm not sure when I'll go, but I'm pretty excited about going to see them, yay!!! I also found out that trading fours and Tuvan throat singing are outta sight...

Shaving is Boring

So last night I watched Naked Lunch and it totally freaked me out. I think I am going to take a little break from these heavy movies and try a lighter approach next week. Is Two-Lane Blacktop light? I guess I'll find out. So at school today some girl was handing out "starbursts." I'm not sure what they were laced with, but next thing I know someone is talking about electric fields and playing with magnets...

So I guess I'll spend this weekend making friendship anklets because mine broke off, and maybe hiking or something.

So, last week I found out that Klaus Schulze recorded the soundtrack for a pornographic film and I thought that was pretty funny. So next time you're on acid and think, "I could sure go for some '70s porn right now!" you should probably check it out. Then listen to Solstice after, and Sans Soleil might make sense...
