What a Rush...

So yea, today was packed full of Rush. The weirdest thing though was that it wasn't really planned at all. First of all, I drove back home from Bakersfield with a soundtrack that was full of Rush, from 2112 and Moving Pictures. After I got back I decided to stop at Amoeba in Hollywood, and even though I didn't actually intend on buying any Rush albums, my state of mind was quickly altered and I suddenly felt compelled to purchase Hemispheres. Now, of course, my innocent mind couldn't conceive that I was going to experience any more Rush today. However, fate seemed to have a different idea when it was decided that we would go see a movie. On the way to the theatre I was awarded the much sought after position of shotgun in Corey's car, which along with navigation responsibilities, comes with music privileges. While looking through his iPod, I came across "Tom Sawyer" by Rush, and not thinking anything of it, I decided to play it. At the time all the Rush seemed irrelevant, it seemed like just a regular day. However, the movie we went to go see was I Love You, Man which features Rush in an extremely large role, so it kind of brought the whole day together. And you know, you really can't have too much Rush in one day. And it just goes to show that Canadian bands are just as good as British band at being better than American bands...
